  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, and eggs. Mix until just incorporated.
  3. Add Flavor: Stir in the mushrooms, Swiss cheese, bacon, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Shape the Loaf: Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
  5. Top with Ketchup: Evenly spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake: Cook for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
