- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder, divided
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them into the melted butter and cook, flipping frequently, until lightly browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of garlic powder over the chicken and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Flip the chicken and sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of garlic powder on the second side, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Pour lemon juice over each side of the chicken. Continue cooking until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads at least 165°F (74°C), about 5–10 minutes.
